There's a saying in Nepal, "Athithi Devo Bhava", which means "the guest is God". Nepali consider it a huge honor to have guests in their home, and go out of their way to please them. There's nothing like Nepali hospitality. Sadly, most visitors who come to Nepal and stay in hotels and  never get to experience true Nepali home stay hospitality. The good thing is that all this is changing as a result of the growing popularity of homestays in Nepal.
A homestay is similar in concept to that of a bed and breakfast. Guests are either accommodated in the family home, or in separate quarters nearby. Now a days, most homestays provide their guests with just as much comfort as a hotel.

At Himanshu home stay you can cook Nepali meal, stay with Nepali family, eat with them be local at USD 37 per person per night a very good deal.

This include 1st day cooking class and eat same meal you cooked, evening learn how to Make paratha bread and eat it, overnight stay at attached bathroom and leave after breakfast the next day. That even include the transfer to Thamel or airport.

According to my Grand Mother, My grand father used to give a blessing to his juniors saying "May a pair of shoe be outside of your door always" ..
( I never my Grand father as he passed away before I was born)

That may have possibly 2- 3 meaning, one is you are always welcoming , two is that you are capable of feeding some one and the third is there is always harmoney between human kind. So Himanshu home stay is inispried by his bleessing.
